Jimmy 'The Rev" Sullivan - DEATH
Avenged Sevenfold's album "Nightmare"
On December 28, 2009, James Owen Sullivan, more commonly known as "The Rev" was found dead in his home. Police noted that his death appeared to be of natural causes, eliminating foul play. The autopsy on December 30, 2009 was inconclusive, yet the toxicology results showed he died from Oxycodone, Oxymorphone, Diazepam, Nordiazepam and alcohol. They noted that cardiomegaly (an enlarged heart) may have played a role in his death. On January 6, 2010, a private funeral was held. He was buried in Huntington Beach, California. Avenged Sevenfold dedicated their album "Nightmare" to him. His drum set is displayed at Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas.
